Who can see my manuscript?

Only you and anyone you explicitly invite. QED staff may access manuscripts for operational or quality assurance purposes. AI providers are contractually barred from training their own foundation models on your data.

Do I keep ownership and copyright of my work?

Yes. QED will never publish, republish, or assert authorship over your unpublished work. You retain full ownership of all manuscripts and data while granting QED a revocable, non-exclusive license to generate feedback and optionally train its own models.

Could using QED jeopardise journal submission or count as prior publication?

No. QED is a private, pre-submission tool. Reports stay inside your account unless you download or share them, so journal originality rules are unaffected.

What happens to my data when I delete a project?

Deleting a manuscript immediately ends QED's licence to use it. All files are purged from live systems and scheduled for permanent erasure from encrypted backups within 30 days or less.
