How do I claim ownership of my company's listing?
Take control of your listing and earn the Verified badge by proving you run the company's domain.

Signal your control
Go to your listing and select Claim, or head directly to /claim/<listing>. You'll need to prove you own the company's domain using one of these methods:
- Email verification: we send a link to an address on your domain
- DNS TXT record: add a record to your root domain
- Homepage meta tag: place a tag in your site's source code
- Verification file: upload a small file to your website root
Choose whichever suits your access level. Your verification code remains active for 14 days; if it expires, restart the process.
What claiming unlocks
Once you're verified, you become the listing owner (whether it was claimed before or not). You can now edit all the details: description, links, build log updates and more. The Verified badge appears on your listing to signal you control the domain.
This badge reflects genuine ownership only—it's never for sale and sits entirely separate from voting rank or any paid options. The community still sets your position on the frontier through votes alone.
Questions people ask
- Which verification method should I pick?
- Choose based on what you can access. Email is fastest if you have domain email; DNS or file upload work if you manage infrastructure; the meta tag is simplest for homepage access.
- What if my verification code expires?
- Codes last 14 days. If yours runs out, go back to /claim/<listing> and start the verification flow again.
- Does the Verified badge affect my ranking?
- No. The badge only shows you control the domain. Community votes set your position. The badge and ranking are entirely separate.
